I didn’t have much time to mess with anything. Forums can’t be so misleading. Nothing seems to be as simple as people claim. This was supposed to be a straight swap. —- I tried again to re flash my Kingston SSD and it was very slow. When finished I put it back in the raspberry pi and the initial hassio boot up took much much … Continue reading Sabrent USB day 2 – this is unpleasant
Is what I’ve been reading about is the easiest conversion from SD-card to SSD for home assistant. Just do this they said it’ll be easy they said. Never do things go smoothly…. Did the things. Nothing happened. The sabrent adapter didn’t light up as it had when connected to the pc when etching hassOS. Hmm. First thoughts, USB PORTS not active. You’re always bordering on the edge of dissatisfaction. A project wemos d1 mini I use for tests recently froze when searching for a wifi point. The old wifi points were for some reason not disappearing but remained as if I had discovered them again. Reset button not working. So reflash it was. It has been a while since I had to wipe an esp8266 chip. I recently saw a “hook up” video and … Continue reading Noob mistake
